Sensing Cable
Designed to signal attenuation (decrease in energy transmission due to the loss of light) from an intrusion or other unusual event, our fiber optic dielectric sensing cable is engineered specifically for Fiber Fenceô Security Systems.
The cable is pliable enough to withstand installation yet calculated to break when tension reaches a specified level. Besides a lower bend radius, this cable is more sensitive than standard fiber optic cable.
The unique jacket is constructed of formulated PVC and is UV-resistant. It is also water resistant and weather-proof, making it capable of withstanding elements such as ice, sleet, snow and heavy winds. It is non-corrosive, further enhancing its ability to endure over time.
This 900µm cable is tested to perform at temperatures ranging from ñ40 to +40 degrees Centigrade. The jacket comes in an inconspicuous gray, but is available in many colors upon request.
